JUST BLAZE
Ok, it's official: Just Blaze is the baddest new producer in hip hop.
I can't tell you how many times I've heard a new tune on the radio in the past year, wondered who produced it, and later found out it was Just Blaze. And the crazy thing is they all sound very different. He's got a mixed bag of tricks up his sleeve, and has only just begun to use them. From the distorted DnB-style basslines, to high-pitched vocal samples, to 4x4 house beats, to filtered string samples, Just Blaze knows how to use dance music production techniques to great effect.
Some recent standouts:
Rah Digga - "Party & Bullshit"
Shaggy - "Hey Sexy Lady"
Joe Budden - "Fire", "Pump It Up"
Freeway - "Flipside"", "What We Do"
