DREAD TECHNO ROOTS

It's all bout dread techno - that combination of jamaican soundsystem culture and techno fetish that has been pushing dark bass forward for over a decade now - w/ dnb and dread garage currently carrying the torch. But i'm curious about an early production outfit on the cusp of 80's UK dub and early 90's bleep n bass called ITAL ROCKERS! Heard a track on the Warp Influences disk - ITAL'S ANTHEM - and was blown away by what I'd best describe as acid dub. From like '89. Apparently the early Warp artists worshipped them for the obscene levels of bass they achieved on their recordings. Whoever they are, I wouldn't be srprised if they were moonlighting under some other name in the current underground garage scene...

Here's the track in real audio: Ital Rockers - "Ital's Anthem"
And a recent DnB remix by Digital "Ital's Anthem" Digital rmx

Addendum to my last post: Here's another new hip hop track using that freaky rising filtered sound like "Spaced Invader"....
